Steven's Dark Socks
& Bare Feet

Steven is enjoying a day off spending time hanging out on the couch watching TV. As he watches the game he absently pulls his shoes off of his size 11 feet to let his feet breathe. "Whew," he thinks, "that feels better!" He is aware of the faint smell of his feet as he continues to watch the playoffs. He likes the smell. His feet feel itchy and he rubs his socked feet together as he changes the channel during a commercial. He stretches out and gets more comfortable, flexing his feet at the same time. He rubs one foot with his hands and then the other. Finally one sock comes off and he puts his fingers in between his toes to get the lint out and to feel the sensation of bending his toes back with his fingers. He sniffs his fingers and smiles to himself. He takes the other sock off and gives himself a foot massage, watching TV the whole time. He rubs his feet together -- back and forth, back and forth. He sticks his feet straight out and flexes his soles and wiggles his toes.

After the game he goes down to the lake to swim. He wears his flip-flops, and the sun is starting to go down as he gets near the water's edge. No one else is around. He sits down for a minute and takes in the beauty of the early evening. A breeze blows and it feels good on his sandaled feet. He takes the sandals off and puts his feet in the water. It feels great! Finally he strips down to his underwear and enjoys the solitude before diving into the water. A great end to a relaxing day...
